~ Our Methods ~
As fellow musicians, we began our careers “on the other side of the glass”, so we understand that the recording process can be stressful. We pride ourselves in creating a supportive, stress-free environment that’s just… well, Fun! From the outset, we’ll figure out your goals, then put together a plan to achieve them, taking into consideration any time and financial constraints. (Yeah, we’re musicians…we understand the whole money thing.) We develop strong working relationships with our clients based on mutual respect. Ultimately, it’s our job to provide the means for you to achieve YOUR artistic vision, whether through making suggestions, playing parts, supplying session musicians, access to our vast collection of instruments, or just being a sounding board. It’s both an honor and privilege to be trusted with your music. Let’s do it!
~ Our Story ~
Long, long ago before dinosaurs smiled at a comet, West Street Digital came into being nestled in the beautiful, rolling hills of Fairfield, Vermont. After 20 years, André and his lovely bride purchased a home and moved the whole kit & kaboodle to a private, tree-lined acre-and-a-half in nearby Saint Albans. Now we can get a pizza delivered! We may no longer be located on West Street, but we do continue to provide a full service recording studio offering a wide variety of services including, but not limited to: engineering, mixing, mastering, demos, full CD projects, voice-overs, jingles, even conversions and restorations.
~ Our Space ~
West Street Digital has a comfortable, supremely accurate control room and a large, acoustically isolated tracking room with 13’ ceilings. With a wall of vintage and boutique guitar amps, 1947 Hammond with Leslie, and 8 discrete stereo headphone mixes, there’s plenty of room to track an entire band live. Studio B is where we keep our collection of Tape Machines for digitizing and archiving analog content for clients. The Lounge is complete with regulation Foosball, Universal Gym, Elliptical, and full surround-sound home theater. We have a small Kitchen area and a Guitar Workbench setup, should the need arise. In other words, plenty of things to do when you’re not the one tracking.
